Entry selected for purchase in the Szent László Square ideas competition
20 October 2026
Our entry was selected for purchase in the landscape architecture ideas competition for the renewal of Szent László Square and its surroundings in Kőbánya, Budapest. The competition was organised by the Municipality of Kőbánya.
Our proposal seeks to restore and build upon the historicist layout of the park surrounding the church designed by Ödön Lechner. It transforms the area around the cultural centre through a contemporary design organised along the church’s visual axis. The paving elements and stone seats evoke the fossils popularly known in Hungary as “Saint Ladislaus’s coins”.
